Car Park P58
Frankfurt Main Airport

commercial and industrial buildings

A new staff car park has been constructed on the northwest side of Frankfurt Airport. Phase 1 provides 1,200 spaces on eight levels, which will soon be increased to 1,800 spaces.
There are strict constraints, due to the position in close proximity to the apron, with the aircraft parked there. The facade complies with safety and radar reflectivity re-quirements.
Simple solutions give the facade, which defines the car park, a unique look. Access for vehicles is via two external spiral ramps, and pedestrian access is via two stairwells containing a total of 3 elevators. The prefabricated wide-span steel structure with few supports provides high functionality.
